All Edmonton Area trainings, unless otherwise noted, are offered at the Alberta Girl Guide House, starting at 7 p.m.
Guider parking is available beside the building off 107th Street. Please use the back door off the parking lot. You may need to ring the buzzer to the right of the door for entrance.

QAL (Qualified Archery Leader) Course

Learn how to run a safe range for the girls with a focus on:  learning coaching skills; understand risk management and safety; 10 steps of archery and other processes for success;  range set up and equipment; personal archery skills; to set up trail archery games; experience night archery.

When: May 3-5 2019. Friday at 8pm to Sunday at 2pm.

Where: Tangletrees - Aspen House & Silver Birch

Cost: $75 plus GST. Payment is required upon registering. If you are paying by credit card please call the Edmonton Area office upon submitting the registration form below. We do have a secure mailbox at the back of the building if you would like to pay cash but are unable to make it during our operation hours. Cheques can be made out to Girl Guides of Canada - Edmonton Area.

This training is open only to Edmonton Area Guiders and Rangers.

Deadline to register is April 18th, 2019 by noon.

OAL Tenting Training

This training will provide you with the basics for running a Tent Camp, including Planning and Packing, Tents and Tarps, Kitchens and Cooking, Activities and Program.  Participants will complete the requirement for their Yellow OAL Pin.  Guiders must have completed the Green OAL Pin (Residential Camping) BEFORE attending this Training.

When: May 4-5, 2019 9:30am-10:30am (overnight required)

Where: Ball's Bush, 51012 Range Rd 210, Sherwood Park

Cost: $30 collected upon arrival

Kit list will be provided to participants in April.

There is no charge for these trainings but you must pre-register.
